Measurement and Reporting Initiative

CorHealth Ontario’s (CorHealth) Measurement and Reporting Initiative is employing a comprehensive approach to achieving alignment across cardiac, stroke, and vascular reporting products and engagement strategies, while laying the foundation for monitoring critical indicators across the care streams to support system improvements. To this end, in the coming months, CorHealth will lead stakeholder engagement activities with health system leaders to explore the possibility of creating a consolidated report for an executive-level audience that would provide key high-level insights across the three clinical domains regarding how programs are performing in the provincial context. The goal of this new report will be to clearly communicate metrics and key insights for senior leadership and link these data/metrics to actionable next steps. Stakeholder feedback will help inform the content, design, dissemination and engagement model of this report. Engagement will occur from January to June 2020.

CorHealth will release its first Consolidated Cardiac Outcomes Report, which will include data previously distributed as independent reports on Cardiac Surgery, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), Mitral Valve Clip, and Ablations outcome indicators, in January 2020. This report will allow for a more timely and streamlined release of cardiac outcomes annually; and, will be supported by engagement and discussion of the reports with cardiac centres across the province.
