Canadian Cardiovascular Congress and Canadian Stroke Congress Updates

CANADIAN CARDIOVASCULAR CONGRESS, OCTOBER 24-27, MONTREAL, QUEBEC

The Canadian Cardiovascular Congress’ (CCC) objective is to enhance opportunities for professional collaboration and networking as well as provide a forum for the discussion of public policy to strengthen cardiovascular care across the country. CorHealth Ontario took part in presenting the following posters:

CANADIAN CARDIOVASCULAR SOCIETY’S QUALITY PROJECT

The Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS) Quality Project is a national initiative designed to make recommendations on the ongoing measurement, evaluation and management of the quality of cardiovascular care in Canada, and create a suite of national Cardiac Quality Indicators (QIs) to support this strategy.

The annual Canadian Cardiovascular Congress (CCC) serves as an opportunity for each of the Quality Project’s sub-working groups, each of which have CorHealth representation, to review their past and upcoming year workplans and present their progress to the larger CCC community. Updates of work done on the Quality Project in 2019 include:

CANADIAN STROKE CONGRESS, OCTOBER 3-5, 2019, OTTAWA, ONTARIO

The biennial Canadian Stroke Congress (CSC) was held from October 3-5, in Ottawa, Ontario, and provided an opportunity for: interprofessional collaboration for research, clinical and system planning and improvements, a forum for sharing evidence-based practices, and profiling innovations and achievements that raise the standard of stroke care across the country.

Consistent with these objectives, CorHealth participated in the Heart and Stroke Foundation Provincial and Territorial Working Group Session to discuss provincial priorities and successes and provide Heart and Stroke with perspectives on implementing their strategic priorities of heart brain connection and integrated systems of care.

In addition, CorHealth participated in the poster sessions summarizing work of the Endovascular Therapy Performance Monitoring and Management Task Group, which can be viewed by clicking on the below link:
