CorHealth Ontario is committed to ensuring that any personal health or confidential information entrusted to our organization is secure and protected. This means ensuring appropriate collection, disclosure, use, and disposal of any information we collect.

All activities at CorHealth Ontario are guided by our Privacy and Security Policy, which ensures a number of safeguards to protect patient privacy:

• A secure electronic database where personal health information is stored
• Privacy training for all staff and other agents
• Regular auditing and reviewing of the privacy and security program
• A Privacy Officer for day-to-day management of privacy and security issues
• CorHealth Ontario collects, uses, disposes and discloses personal health information in compliance with Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act

CorHealth Ontario maintains a Registry of adult patients who undergo certain advanced cardiac and vascular procedures for the purposes of maintaining the waitlist and providing advice to the government for strategic planning.
