New Technologies Planning Committee

To ensure that patients have timely access to cardiac, stroke and vascular technologies that will support best practice and maximize patient outcomes, Ontario Health- CorHealth is commited to work with all stakeholders to ensure that technologies are on the appropriate path for evaluation and/or adoption in Ontario.

Ontario Health-CorHealth’s New Technologies and Planning Committee for Cardiac, Stroke and Vascular care plays a key navigator role to guide and support stakeholders though the complex regulatory, evaluation (Health Technology Assessment), funding and system planning pathways of medical devices in Ontario.

The committee, comprised of the federal and provincial organizations involved in the regulation, funding, evaluation and planning of health technologies, reviews requests and helps navigate the technology through the most appropriate path for evaluation.

This process helps ensure that there is a proactive approach to planning that supports timely availability of effective technologies for cardiac, stroke and vascular patients
